Drinking red wine reduces risk of Alzheimer's

Researchers at Iowa State University in the United States say that drinking red wine can help reduce and delay the cognitive decline typical of various forms of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease.

The study analyzed data from people aged 46 to 77 and asked them about their diets and alcohol consumption.

The study showed that cheese is currently the food with the greatest protective effect against the development of cognitive problems related to aging.

Similarly, daily consumption of red wine improves cognitive function, while weekly intake of lamb has been shown to improve long-term cognitive performance.

Doctors were surprised by the fact that moderate intake of cheese and wine constituted an added value for health.
